Upper Cockington Lane appears to have been one continuous (not sunken) lane forming part of a highway from the coast and Cockington village to Teignbridge and beyond. The lane continues along Dairy Hill and Collaton Road.
This portion of Upper Cockington Lane runs south from its junction with Marldon Road at NGR SX8929 6531to the edge of SX86NE at SX8923 6500 then continues south as SX86SE/46.
