Upper Cockington Lane appears to have been part of one continuous (not sunken) lane forming part of a highway from the coast and Cockington village to Teignbridge and beyond. This portion of Cockington Lane runs from the middle of Cockington Village at SX8944 6384 to the edge of the map tile at SX8923 6500 from where it continues as SX86NE/167 along Dairy Hill and Collaton Road.
