Full description

Torbay HER record (SMR record). SDV361984.

Castle Park is marked in a conveyance of Henry Cary dated 1645. It is also mentioned by the same name in a bailif's account of 1530. The name is taken by the author to refer to a hillfort type enclosure. An earthwork is claimed to be visible in a coppice south of the Church known as Church Wood.[1]
There is a tree covered mound south of the church. It has a ditch around the south and east sides of the mound and may be recent.[2]
