Full description
Torbay HER record (SMR record). SDV361984.
Established in the mid-19C, the lime kiln served two dispersed but close areas of quarrying (SX85NE/42). It is marked as 'Old limekiln' on the 1906 OS Second Edition County Series 1:2500, contained on a Torbay HBSMR GIS layer, and is indicated as "Old lime" on the Ordnance Survey 6 inch map of 1933 and on the Ordnance Survey 6 inch map of 1963.[1][2]. Now within grounds of Beverley Park Caravan Centre and located behind 29 & 31 Davies Avenue and 53 Gibson Road, Paignton,
