Full description

Torbay HER record (SMR record). SDV361984.

An 'old limekiln' is so marked on the 1933 OS County Series Further Second Revision 1:2500 contained on a Torbay HBSMR GIS layer.It is not shown on either the 1861 or 1902 surveys. 'Old kiln' is also shown on the Ordnance Survey 6 inch map of 1933 and on the Ordnance Survey 6 inch map of 1963.[1][2]

A surviving part of the east kiln wall is currently shown but not named. The site is located on the north side of the extension of Broadsands Park Road as a path between the Railway Viaduct (50m west) and Broadsands Beach.
