Vis=29/7/1982 (timms). Existing farmbuildings include two cob and stone barns, which show no evidence of having been part of an earlier dwelling. There is now no house on this site. Building to east at ss97312555 not inspected. Court is documented in 1526 (gover). Buildings at court shown as part of loyton farm and described as barn and barton on the tithe map. Group of three buildings lie to east (ta).

Vis=18/10/1967 (os). A group of farm buildings with no indication of site of former building nor any visible reused material (os). The manor house of court was built about 1700 of bampton limestone and the roof slated. 'a small house not worthy of notice, uninhabited for the last 30 years' (polwhele). Name of 'old court' on os 1" 1809 shows it still existed at that date (os).
