An early 19C 3-storey and garrett building, probably part solid and part timber-framed, 2 windows wide with 1 window in carved left side wall, on an earlier site. A basement opens onto a public alley to the rear. Attractive and disparate paned sash-windows; blocked doorway to right with flanking pilasters and entablature. Garret of 2 gabled dormers. A Francis Frith photograph of 1922 shows this as the New Quay Inn, the rounded corner tile-hung. List description at .
Listed as 6, 8 & 10 King Steet, but shown as 7 King Street on the OS, and adjacent to No. 12 on its northeast side.
