Sheringham, Capt., 1852, Torbay (Cartographic). SDV362295.
' Warren House' is marked on OS County series maps from 1862; it is also present, though not named, on an Admiralty Chart of Torbay surveyed in 1852 . Nearby -berry names (Farm, cove and lane) may indicate the one time presence of earthworks: Elberry Farm lies c.150m to the southwest. The building is now roofless and situated in the 'rough' of the approach golf course of Churston Golf Club. A Bronze Age palstave (SX95NW/31) was found nearby.
