Clay pipe with oak-leaf and acorn decoration found at Hotel Roseland (formerly Argyll Hall built c.1849), Warren Road, Torquay. Two similar pipes have been found in South Devon (SX87SE/80; & SX87SW/203). possibly early 19th century.
The Roseland Hotel, formerly Argyll Hall, was built c1849 on what had been woodland (1).
