Torbay HER record (SMR record). SDV361984.

A milestone depicted MS is marked on the 1864 OS County Series 1:2500 (surveyed 1861) and the 1904 First Revision contained on Torbay HBSMR GIS layers. Additionally it is shown on the OS 1933 6 inch/1:10 000 [1]

A round-headed granite stone is located on the north side of the road hard up against the boundary wall of "Ladycroft", 131 Dartmouth Road, Paignton. Three lines of text are visible although lines 1 and 3 are illegible. The second line is a name which ends in "ton". A plate has been fixed to the front of this stone in the past as three fixings survive. There is also a bench mark symbol and stud on its top. The stone is 49cm high, 32cm wide and 15cm deep; the letters are 5cm high.[2][3]
