One of a number of quarries c.1800, exploiting the most northerly outcrop of Devonian limestone in Torbay. Present as Trumlands Quarry in 1861 and 1904; built over by 1933 301-331 Teignmouth Road. Some houses (sites of nos. 303-315) removed post-war.
