The field in which the lynchets were observed is c.150m e-w and c.20m n-s; its boundaries are the same as those on the 1861 OS County Series, and in all likelihood reflect a medieval layout.
In May 1996 P McCrone observed 'substantial' lynchets within the field: a 1.5m-2m drop from n-s between the two long e-w field boundaries.
