Full description

Torbay HER record (SMR record). SDV361984.

A WWII Pillbox observed south of Maidencombe Beach adjacent to South West Way National Footpath (Trail) by Ann Dick, a DCC Archaeologist in July 1996; it was reported as visible "on top (W) edge of field (sic) alongside coastal path". It is likely that it is the top west edge of cliff that is meant. [1]

No trace was found in October 1999 when visited by Veronica Fiorato, Torbay Council Archaeology Officer, tried to relocate the site [2]
