Full description
Torbay HER record (SMR record). SDV361984.
A boundary stone is situated on the south side of Newton Road circa 30m west of the turning to Rougemont Avenue. It stands beside a smaller stone (SX86NE/83). The stone is granite with a rounded head. It is engraved with 0.7m high, deeply inscribed intials "T T C" as in Torquay Town Council. This part of the boundary is common to Kingskerswell and the historic parish of St Marychurch (subsequently the Torquay boundary). The stone measures a maximum height of 0.4m, and is 0.33m wide and 0.20m deep. [No source is given by the inherited Devon County SMR record although the nature of the description suggests that it was one of Louise Gallant's site visits and descriptions.] [1][2]
