Torbay HER record (SMR record). SDV361984.

A lime kiln located on the northern (open) edge of a quarry (SX85NE/96) is shown on the 1865 OS County Series 1:2500 (surveyed 1861) contained on a Torbay HBSMR GIS layer. On both the 1904 OS First Revision and 1933 OS Second Revision County Series it is shown as 'Old Lime kiln'. On the 1933 OS 1:10 000 it is simply 'Old kiln'.[1]

The site was the subject of an archaeological assessment in March 2001 as it fell within the development footprint of a planning application.[2]
