Full description
Torbay HER record (SMR record). SDV361984.
Presumably established in the mid-19C for the production of lime for agricultural purposes the site is Marked as 'old quarry' north of an 'old limekiln' on the 1906 OS County Series Second Edition 1:2500 contained on Torbay HBSMR GIS layer. "Old kiln" is indicated and a quarry shown on the Ordnance Survey 6 inch map of 1933 and on the Ordnance Survey 6 inch map of 1963.[1][2].
The area extends 60m n-s and 40m e-w.
