Three distinct buildings front Rock House Lane on the south side of the road immediately south of the Courthouse (MTO9567), extending for over 60m. House sites are present on Stokeinteignhead Tithe Map of 1843.
The houses appear subsequently on the OS County Series of 1887, 1904, and 1933. Maidencombe is a Domesday Manor and the sites may indicate occupation from the medieval until the 20th century.
