Strip fields, of obvious medieval origin, made up the bulk of the fields in the southern part of the manor. They are clearly shown on both the manor map of c.1775 and the tithe map of 1838 - concentrated north and south of the precursors of Warbro and Quinta Roads. but they had largely disappeared by the end of the 19C.
