Full description
Torbay HER record (SMR record). SDV361984.
In 1963 Copeland summarised Pearson's observations of 1900: That the Church House had been divided into four houses which were themselves replaced by a poor-house; the rent of which went to the churchwardens. Pearson thought that Pomeroy Cottage, 98 Drew Street, on the northwest side of the churchyard was the site of the church house. The tenant, however, informed Pearson that it had never been one, but that a cottage had stood within his memory at the west entrance to the churchyard. There are traces of there having been cottages to the south of the present gateway on the 1862 OS. [1][2] The footprint is otherwise built over by an electricity sub-station and a hall.
