Parallel earthwork banks, circa 4.5m wide, are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, at the former Twelve Oaks Farm, Teigngrace. The visible banks are closely spaced and are aligned across the contours of the northeast facing slope, occupying an area of approximately 0.30 hectares. The banks coincide with an orchard depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25inch map of the late 19th century. This orchard is covered in trees on aerial imagery taken between 1946 and 1949, although these have been largely cleared by 1964. The earthworks are interpreted as possible 19th century tree planting banks for this orchard, the fruit trees being established on the earthworks for increased soil depth and improved drainage.
