Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (AI&M) (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Parallel earthwork banks, circa 6m wide, are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, at Indio house, Bovey Tracey. The visible banks are closely spaced and occupy an area of circa 1.54 hectares of level land. The banks do not coincide with any linear features shown in this location on the Ordnance Survey First of the late 19th. They are interpreted as possible post-medieval or 19th century tree planting banks of a former orchard which had passed out of use by the late 19th century, the fruit trees being established on the earthworks for increased soil depth and improved drainage. An orchard shown in proximity to the northeast on the First Edition OS map adds some support to this interpretation.
