A circular pit, circa 13m diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1948, to the north of Devon House, Bovey Tracey. The well-defined nature of the visible earthwork supports the interpretation the pit is of likely early to mid-20th century date, although its function is uncertain. The earthwork is not visible on aerial imagery after 1948 and has likely since been levelled.
