Narrow sinuous and curvilinear ditches, less than 2m wide, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, on the combe slopes at Bradleyford Corner, Bovey Tracey. The channels roughly follow the contours of the southwest and southeast facing combe slopes and occupy an area of circa 4.65 hectares. They are interpreted as the gutters of a catch meadow irrigation system which likely taps the stream that bisects the earthworks. Catch meadows were popular in the 19th century but many continued in use into the mid-20th century. The ditches do not obviously appear to have been recently used to irrigate the slopes in 1948 and were possibly out of use by this date.
