Earthworks of irregularly shaped pits, incised channels and curvilinear banks are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, within Wolleigh Moor Copse, Bovey Tracey. The earthworks occupy an area of circa 1.67 hectares of southeast facing slope. Their character and form support the interpretation they represent the extractive pits, stream channels and associated spoil heaps of a medieval or post-medieval streamworks. The earthworks do not correspond with any features shown in this location on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of the late 19th century, which shows the area as woodland and supports the interpretation the earthworks had passed out of use by this time. Given their subtle nature, not all visible earthworks have been transcribed, but instead have been included within an extent of area polygon. They are not visible on other available aerial imagery owing to dense tree cover.
