Narrow, sinuous ditches, less than 2m wide, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, at Hele Farm, Hennock. The earthworks closely follow the contours of the east facing combe slope and are interpreted as 19th century water channels, possibly of a catch meadow irrigation system.
