Narrow linear and curvilinear ditches, less than 2m wide, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and 1948, at Heathfield, Bovey Tracey. The parallel earthworks are perpendicular to the gentle southwest facing slope and are interpreted as possible drainage channels of 19th century date or else are associated with the extensive tin workings recorded to the west and north (MDV69787). The earthworks have been levelled and the area developed as part of Heathfield Industrial Estate by between 1999-2000.
