Four irregular earthwork pits, are visible on aerial photographs taken from the 1940s onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. They are interpreted as post-medieval quarry pits, possibly earlier phases of limestone extraction associated with Rentor Quarry and limekiln (MDV52170). One of the earthworks corresponds with the small plot 238 recorded as 'waste' on the tithe map and another falls within plot 228, named as 'Kiln Orchard', indicating that they had fallen out of use by the mid-19th century.
