An earthwork pit, circa 24 by 32 metres in extent, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2013. It is interpreted as a post-medieval extractive pit, perhaps a limestone quarry given the nearby limekilns and quarries depicted in the wider area on the late-19th century maps. However no features are depicted on the available historic mapping in this exact location, so this particular pit is likely to have gone out of use by the mid-19th century.
