A narrow earthwork bank, L-shaped in plan, is visible as an earthwork up to 1m wide and 150m long, on the north-west-facing slopes west of the Coach House, Ashcombe on aerial photographs of 1946.
The visible earthwork does not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25inch map of circa 1880 but is in keeping with the character of the surrounding field pattern; although characterised by HLC as medieval enclosure, elements of sub-division are probably post-medieval to 19th century in date.
The earthwork not identified on more recent images available to the survey and has probably been levelled.
