Royal Air Force, 1946, RAF/CPE/UK/1824, RAF/CPE/UK/1824 RP 4085-4086 04-NOV-1946 (Aerial Photograph). SDV352344.

A linear bank and flanking ditches are is visible as earthworks.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (Interpretation). SDV361305.

A linear ditch up to circa 12m wide and almost 70m long is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as an earthwork and cropmark. The bank is flanked to north-east and south-west by shallow earthwork ditches, that to the north-east up to circa 20m wide.
The visible features do not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but are in keeping with the character of the surrounding field pattern, that has been characterised as of medieval origin.
This might support interpretation of the visible earthworks as former field boundaries of medieval to post-medieval date, that were removed prior to circa 1840.
