Full description

Natural England Volunteers, 2009-2015, Natural England Volunteer Archaeological Survey, H19 (Worksheet). SDV350591.

Visited 13/11/2015. Drinking trough and gatepost recorded at SX 78103 80583, Higher Hisley Farm. Long shallow drinking trough with slit on right hand corner. Measures 0.5 metres high by 1.5 metres long by 15 centimetres deep.
Also 2.0 metre high gatepost: looks like menhir or cross without the cross piece. No tare and feather, iron gate nooks in situ – 1.5 metres from bottom hanger to top hanger. Features on edge of farm drive, next to each other. Photographed.
