The visible earthworks do not correspond with any feature depicted on the Tithe map for Dawlish.

A rectilinear platform or terrace approximately 55m by 40m in size is visible as an earthwork cut into east-facing slopes east of Luscombe Castle, Dawlish, on aerial photographs of 1986 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017.
The visible earthworks fall within Luscombe Park and do not correspond with any features depicted on the Tithe map for Dawlish. Luscombe Castle was built circa 1800 and the terraced earthworks is interpreted as the remains of a possible former farmstead or settlement of medieval period to 18th century date that was possibly cleared for the creation of Luscombe Park.
Earthworks of a possible former orchard are visible immediately to the east.
