Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Linear and curvilinear banks and ditches are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The visible earthworks fall within Luscombe Park and under Luscombe Wood. They do not correspond with any features depicted on the Tithe map for Dawlish. Luscombe Castle was built circa 1800 and the linear and curvilinear earthworks are interpreted as the remains of a former field system of medieval to 18th century date that was probably cleared for the creation of Luscombe Park by Humphrey Repton, between 1800 and 1817.
