A linear earthwork bank circa 3m wide and 190m long is visible on the south-east facing slopes of Little Haldon, on aerial photographs of 1950. The visible earthwork does not correspond with any boundary depicted on 19th h century maps available to the survey but does appear to be aligned on extant field boundaries to the east. The relict bank is interpreted as the remains of a former field boundary, probably evidence of encroachment onto the rough ground on Little Haldon, potentially of medieval to post-medieval date. The boundary had passed out of use prior to circa 1840. The bank remains visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2015.
