Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

The visible earthworks correspond with a road or track depicted on the Tithe map for Teignmouth.

The road is not marked, but may remain in use as a farm track.

A linear earthwork hollow circa 10m wide and 118m long, is visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The visible earthworks correspond with a road or track depicted on the Tithe Map for Teignmouth. This section of road was cleared following the curtting of a new road east from Higher Venn Farm in the mid-19th century.
