Summary

The former pot water leat for Thornworthy Farm. This leat starts in the headmire of the Longstone Brook and runs around the west and south sides of Thornworthy Down before becoming indistinct near the south-west corner of the currently cultivated land. It survives as a channel 1.1 metres wide and 0.4 metres deep with a bank 0.9 metres wide and 0.3 metres high on its downslope margin.

(05/02/1992) SX 66238538 to SX 66678495. The former pot water leat for Thornworthy Farm. This leat starts in the headmire of the Longstone Brook and runs around the west and south sides of Thornworthy Down before becoming indistinct near the south-west corner of the currently cultivated land.
It survives as a channel 1.1 metres wide and 0.4 metres deep with a bank 0.9 metres wide and 0.3 metres high on its downslope margin.
This leat may have been supplemented by water from a former tinner's leat (SX 68 NE 157) which traverses the east flank of Thornworthy Down from a source on the Thornworthy Brook.
