An earthwork of an oval pit, circa 38m long by 28m wide, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. The visible earthwork does not correspond with any features depicted in this location on the available 19th century mapping. The earthwork is interpreted as a possible post-medieval or early-mid 19th century extractive pit or quarry which had probably passed out of use by the late 19th century. The earthwork has been levelled following residential development of the area on aerial imagery taken between 1999-2000.
