A number of linear and curvilinear earthwork banks, between 7m and 15m wide and northeast to southwest aligned, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1950 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The earthworks occupy an area of circa 1.54 hectares and are broadly parallel to the northwest facing slopes of a spur. Several of the earthworks correspond to field boundaries shown on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map and the surrounding historic field patterns depicted in this location is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields and post-medieval enclosures. Their character and topographic setting support the interpretation that the earthworks represent strip lynchets of medieval date. The earthworks have been truncated by the gutters of a 19th century catch meadow system (MDV125227).
