Parallel earthwork ridges, circa 4.5m wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards. The visible banks are closely spaced and are aligned parallel to and across the contours of the east facing combe slope. The banks coincide with two separate land parcels shown as orchards on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, either side of Langford Bridge Farm. The presence of orchards in this location supports the interpretation the earthworks represent possible 19th century tree planting banks, the fruit trees being established on the earthworks for increased soil depth and improved drainage. The southwest land parcel has been cleared of trees by 1946, whilst that to the northeast is moderately covered until 1978 when it has also been completely cleared. The earthwork banks remain visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017.
