Three linear earthwork banks, between 3m-8m wide and northeast to southwest aligned, are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. Two of the banks correspond with field boundaries shown in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, whilst the third bank is not shown on this map, or on later available historic maps, and had evidently passed out of use by this time. By the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of the late 19th century, the remaining two field boundaries have also passed out of use and the land parcels amalgamated into a single orchard (MDV113462). The earthworks are interpreted as relict field boundaries of potential medieval date.
