Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (Interpretation). SDV361305.

An irregularly shaped pit, circa 37m long by 23m wide, is visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The visible earthwork does not correspond with any pit features depicted in this location on the available 19th century mapping, although does partly truncate an earthwork bank of a medieval field boundary (MDV125245). The earthwork is interpreted as a post-medieval or early 19th century extractive pit or quarry which had likely passed out of use by the late 19th century.
