Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (AI&M) (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Earthworks of linear banks flanked in places by ditches, circa 10m wide and northwest to southeast and northeast to southwest aligned, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The earthworks define a number of adjacent, but partial rectilinear land parcels, between 115m to 160m long. They do not correspond with any linear features shown in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or on later available historic maps, nor do they respect the surrounding field pattern. They are therefore interpreted as field boundaries of a possible medieval field system which predates that which had been established by the mid-19th century. It is possibly associated with medieval field system MDV125250 recorded in proximity to the northwest, although an earlier, prehistoric or Romano-British date cannot be discounted.
