Two ditched banks are visible on aerial photographs of 1946 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017 as parallel earthworks approximately 3m wide and up to circa 3m apart, crossing the floodplain west of the River Teign for just over 200m.
The visible earthworks are interpreted as the remains of a field boundary of probable post-medieval to 19th century date. They do not correspond with any boundary depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey and were therefore probably removed prior to circa 1840. A pond, possibly a former extractive pit bisects the linear earthworks approximately halfway along their length.
