Environment Agency, 1998-2017, LiDAR DTM data (1m resolution) EA: South Devon Coast to Dartmoor, LIDAR SX8774 Environment Agency DTM 01-JAN-1998 to 31-MAY-2017 (Cartographic). SDV361470.

Linear and curvilinear banks are visible as earthworks.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (AI&M) (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Linear and curvilinear banks, hollows or ditches up to circa 5m wide and 190m long are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, on the south-east facing slopes south-west of Lindridge House, Kingsteignton.
The visible earthworks correspond in part with boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map for Kingsteignton, but not the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25inch map. This supports the interpretation that the earthworks are the remains of field boundaries, possibly of medieval to post-medieval date, that were removed between circa 1840 to 1880.
The enclosure defined by the relict banks is listed on the Tithe Apportionments as Plot 652, Hill Park Orchard. However, the lidar derived images show evidence of smaller enclosures, terraces or sub-division within Plot 652, which might support the interpretation that the orchard had been established on the site of earlier activity, possibly the location of a former farmstead.
