A curvilinear cropmark of a bank circa 5m wide and 1700m long is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 and 1951. The cropmarks correspond with field boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map for Bishopsteignton but not the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25inch map. The cropmarks are interpreted as evidence of a field boundary of probable medieval origin that was removed by circa 1880. The bank remains visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017.
