A circular structure approximately 8m in diameter was visible on aerial photographs of 1946 on the west side of Exeter Road, Kingsteignton. The structure was probably an Emergency Water Supply (EWS) tank of Second World War date, intended to provide water for emergency services such as fire-fighting, in the case that normal supplies were disrupted in the aftermath of an air raid. The structure was not visible on later images and was probably quickly removed after 1946.
