Three circular structures are visible to the west of the football ground on aerial photographs taken in 1946. At approximately 13 metres in diameter their size is consistent with an interpretation as temporary water tanks, many of which were constructed during the Second World War and known as EWS (Emergency Water Supply) reservoirs. They were normally used in areas where water supply was disrupted due to air raids, and these examples appear to be empty of water in 1946. Only one is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1949 and the area has since been developed for housing.
