A dark sinuous cropmark and irregularly shaped earthwork pits are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947. The cropmark is northeast to southwest aligned, measures between 3-7m wide and extends from a road at its south-western extent at Three Corner Plantation. Two pits, circa 13m and 65m long, are located at the northeast extent of the cropmark. The cropmark and earthworks do not correspond with features shown on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or on later available historic maps. They are therefore interpreted as possible evidence of post-medieval or early 19th century extractive workings with an associated trackway. The features are not visible on the available aerial imagery after 1947 and the earthworks have possibly since been levelled.
