Full description
Risden, T., Untitled Source (Report - Survey). SDV69410.
Site of medieval chapel of lady of the thorn. Vis=estimated -/-/1640 (risden). In the churchyard of a church one mile from the harbour are remains of a chapel. Vis=estimated -/-/1896 (wade). Westcote places it at the end of the "scattering street". Probably site of chapel was at side of old vestry room covering space now occupied by east end of south aisle. Vis=26/9/1953 (os). No remains of earlier chapel to be seen.
