Three curvilinear banks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946 and 1950, within the area of the former Zitherixon Clay Works to the east of the River Teign. They do not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey and are not in keeping with the surrounding field pattern depicted, which appears to be predominantly post-medieval in character.
The banks are interpreted as potentially evidence of former field boundaries of medieval to 19th century date, but it is possible that they are simply evidence of activity at the Zitherixon Clay Works, possibly short-lived access tracks.
The earthworks were probably destroyed during the creation of a fishing lake.

Ordnance Survey, 2019, MasterMap 2019 (Cartographic). SDV362729.

The banks have probably been destroyed by the creation of a fishing lake.
